We moved our company’s website to HostMonster in June after the service with our previous provider deteriorated so much that we were forced to look for alternatives.
When it came time to switch I found their plans and pricing to be very competitive and appropriate for what we were looking for.
Comparing HostMonster to other options was easy and the staff was helpful. When we had questions about the specific package we needed to sign up for, a very helpful agent helped explained the options. After we signed with HostMonster, an agent called me to walk me through the transition process and make sure that any questions we hade were answered. This was very welcome service, as our previous host had left us without service and no contact or updates as to when problems would be resolved on several occasions.
Because of the experience we had before moving to HostMonster, we set up several alerts to help us monitor or website’s availability. We have had 1 short outage and one outage that lasted less than an hour with HostMonster. In both cases, HostMonster was responsive to our trouble tickets and kept us informed about the problem and timeline for resolution.
I do not expect perfection from a hosting provider, but I do expect open communication and to be valued as a customer. HostMonster has shown us that they value our business and will put forth the effort. We were with our previous host for about 9 years, and I am looking forward to a long term relationship with HostMonster.
